Power Factor Correction
Or PFC as it's widely reffered to, is used to reduce kVA to kW level. The electromagnetic effect of all equipment such as motors, transformers etc use the principles of electromagnetism to work. This principle causes the voltage and current sine waves to drift apart. Capacitors are used with a special controller to monitor and control this shift/drift in the voltage and current sine waves and to correct it in an ongoing way.
